Baby Shopping {OPEN} « Thread Started on Aug 5, 2009, 4:32pm »
Jill has been couped up now for 3 months in Logans house and she needed to get out and get some air. Logan Jr. was now almost 4 months old so she thought it was time to take him out and get him some clothes and show him off.
She got him all dressed and she put him in his carriage. It was a georgous day out the sun was shining and it was not that hot out there was a breeze so there was no humidy. She left the home and she was now walking down the road to the path that would take her into town.
She now entered Diagon Alley as she was walking up the alley and she smiled at all the people who smiled at her, Some evern complented her on Logan Jr. telling her how cute he was. SHe smiled and said thankyou.
She then made it to Greengrass Garments and she walked in. She felt funny coming in here with Logan knowing that Astoria owned this place and that it was just a few short months ago that she lost her son, Jills Nephew and Jill knew she was still hurting.
Jill was hoping to avoid her and any kind of scene that maybe caused if she did see her. Jill just went right to the baby section as she was now looking at clothes for Logan.

T
here come many times in a woman's life when she feels the insatiable longing for familiar company. In this case, she sought after her daughter-in-law, the only civil link she had to her son these days. It was a conflict of loyalties which drove mother and son apart, as well as the natural schedule confliction. Therefore, it was only natural to want to know what was going on in his life. As well as the life of her grandson. She had not seen him in some time, mostly due to his current schooling at Hogwarts. While, as the headmaster's wife, she was more than welcome to visit, there was always a tinge of ackwardness and a terribly thick air when she entered the school. Not to mention the influx of less-than-trustworthy teaching staff who had managed to replace familiar professors.
In enough of a foul mindset already, and eager to have some time with her slighty estranged daughter-in-law, Narcissa quickened her pace down the old alley until she came upon the desired storefront. Even just peering into the windows was a bit of a sight. All sorts of clothing, from sleepwear to formal robes, hung elegantly upon manniquns and display racks. Perhaps she would find something rather sultry to lure Lucius home for a few days.
The thought made her giggle, as if she were a teen again, however, maturity quickly sobered her up, and she strode into the shop, head held high with a peaceful, yet superior, grace about her. Her disposition changed once again, however, when she passed by the racks of clothing for children.
A familiar face caught her eye, but before she could move to greet the daughter she had not seen is sometime, a second form caught her attention. It was a child...Surely it wasn't Jill's...Someone would have told her. Obviously, they would have...right?
Narcissa approached her daughter with a quiet elegance, and offered a warm smile in greeting.

Jill was still picking out clothes for Logan Jr.. He was sound asleep in his stroller and once they leave here they were going to meet Logan for lunch. Jill knew he was still trying to adjust to all of this but she also knew that he lovedthem both and Jill was being very good in not stressing him or pushing the baby onto him.
As she was shopping she saw her mother and she gave her mother a warm smile and hug. "Mum, im glad your here I want you to meet someone." She then released the hug and she picked up Logan jr out of his stroller and she introduced him to her mother. "The first Malfoy grandchild this is your grandson. Logan Scorpius Malfoy Bancroft" Jill now handed Logan over to her mother for her to hold.
"I wanted to tell you I really did but I couldnt, if anyone knew i was pregnant with you know hows baby it could of been to dangerous I mean it was already dangerous." Jil did not want to get into the details there with what happened when he was born so she just left it at that. "Father knew though, I had to tell him but he has not met him yet." Jill still kept her smile on as she waited for her mother to take Logan from her.
"He is all Logan, I just cant believe hes mine. I cant believe I have a son and a son of the dark lord" She whispered the last part so know one could here what she had said.
So the child was Jill's. It was difficult, in her own mind, to accept that her daughter had already started a family of her own, and even moreso that the father of her child was the Dark Lord. Narcissa could understand Jill's reasoning for keeping her grandchild from her, however, her husband seemed to have blatantly lied to her time and again. He would already feed her tempered lies about her children to keep her happy and prevent her from digging deeper into his life. She realized that they had married for status. Yes, they did love each other, that was no question, but lately they have been driven apart. She silently cursed every dark lord to ever take up presence in her family's lives. Unfortunatly, however, it seemed that she had no choice to accept this one.
As soon as the child was placed in her arms, her thoughts of contempt were set aside. It was strange to hold a dark-haired child, all of her own children being blonde. However, it brought a smile to her face to watch the baby laugh. His name, though...It was strange. There is no oddity in giving a son their father's name, but why Scorpius? Cissa couldn't remember Jill being terribly close to her nephew, at least not enough to name her child after him.
"He is a beautiful child, my dear. I admit, I am more that a little concerned about his well being as well as your own. You should come back to the manor. I cannot imagine that his father keeps very decent company, and our home feels so empty as of late. Your father keeps himself at the school even during the holidays, and I have not heard from your brother in some time." She handed Logan back to his mother. "I actually came here to speak with Astoria. It was a pleasent surprise to find you here as well. Right now, the only way I hear anything about my son and grandson is through her, and we hardly speak as it is."
Her voice was sorrowful, though she still wore an uneasy smile on her face. It was rare that she spoke to any memeber of her family lately, and it was quite unsettling. Everything was so easy while Draco and Jill were growing up. Now everything is so complicated and decietful. Even her own husband refuses to tell her the truth, and there is little she can do to push the situation.
